The United States of America is a federal republic located on the North American continent. At the time of the start of the Canon it consisted of fifteen states formed from the original thirteen British colonies which had fought a successful War of Independence culminating in a peace treaty, The Treaty of Paris, in 1783, and Kentucky and Tennessee.
