::Another good point.  With articles short like this one, I can see having them in the Lexicon name space. If something gets long, I can see an article on cannon for example getting very detailed and lengthy, can it easily be moved out of the Lexicon space or is it stuck there?  And how would you do a sub category?  Category:Naval life|gunnery? --LadyShelley 00:57, 22 June 2007 (BST)

New category

Now that more articles are being added dealing with gunnery, do we need a new category specific to this aspect of naval life? Category:Gunnery, or Category:Weapons what's a good descriptive term? Should it also include small arms and swords? --LadyShelley 17:44, 21 June 2007 (BST)

Possibly a sub-category under naval life? The other question is whether relatively short definitions like this are more appropriately placed in the Lexicon space rather than the main article space? That is why I put Wardroom/Gunroom there.Aquinas 19:17, 21 June 2007 (BST)
Another good point.
Moving between spaces is the same as moving to a new name and it leaves a redirect behind. The creaton of a sub-category is easy, just add the parent category to the sub-category page. See and my new sub-category of Naval life - . Aquinas 14:10, 22 June 2007 (BST)
For whatever it's worth at this point, I was pondering both moves myself even as I wrote the category. But I wonder, too, where it ends. How does one decide what's properly lexicon and what's merely a stub? Here, seems easy, but elsewhere may be less so.Czrisher 18:31, 22 June 2007 (BST)
