Meaning: | Inflammation of skin from overexposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun; sunburn causes fluid loss and can lead to dehydration, in addition to swelling, blistering, peeling, and cracking of the skin. In severe cases, the victim may experience fever, nausea, chills, dizziness, rapid breathing, shock, and loss of consciousness. |
