Jack Aubrey, as a Commander and Master of the Sophie attacks and takes the Spanish xebec frigate Cacafuego in the year one.
Cacafuego (Sp: "shit fire") is the nickname of a historical Spanish galleon Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion, which her crew referred to as "Cagafuego" or "fire shitter".
La Nuestar Senora de la Concepcion was launched in 1570 and sailed the Peru - Panama route during the 16th century. She became Sir Francis Drake's most famous prize in 1578.
The xebec that Aubrey attacks and captures may have simply been named Cacafuego, the name widely used for the historic ship by non-Spanish speakers.
