I believe that we should change the name of this category; it should be "types of vessels". Historically the term "ship" referred to a specific type of vessel i.e. a three masted square rigged sailing vessel. The term "vessel" is more inclusive. I am planning a "types of vessels" article with linked articles regarding various types of vessels.
