I believe that we should change the name of this category; it should be "types of vessels".  Historically the term "ship" referred to a specific type of vessel i.e. a three masted square rigged sailing vessel.  The term "vessel" is more inclusive. I am planning a "types of vessels" article with linked articles regarding various types of vessels.  There are 9 such articles already and I hope to add to this body of knowldge. <br> [[User:Brucep|Bruce]] 15:21, 10 January 2009 (GMT)

: before you change the category, the admin group is also discussing the feasibility.  (ie is it a needed change or is it getting into pedantic specifics). Further opinions posted on this talk page are encouraged! --[[User:LadyShelley|LadyShelley]] 23:17, 11 January 2009 (GMT)
