An edit war is when two or more contributors repeatedly revert one another's edits to an article. Edit wars don't serve the larger WikiPOBia readership, and they make the admins tired.

The following is a set of general guidelines for WikiPOBia. If you have any questions please use the talk page.

Three edit rule

WikiPOBia does support the three edit rule; meaning no contributer should revert an article in part or in full more than three times in any given 24 hour period.

Ownership of articles

Articles in WikiPOBia do not have an owner; because you created an article does not mean you own it, or are the sole editor allowed to change an article. As it states on every edit page:

Please note that all contributions to WikiPOBia may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors. If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then don't submit it here.

Signing articles

Since no one "owns" any part of any article, if you create or edit an article, you should not sign it. As for credit, the exact contributions of all editors are seen with their names on the "History" pages.

On the other hand, when adding comments, questions, or votes to talk pages, it is good to "own" your text, so the best practice is to sign it by suffixing your entry with "~~~~" — no spaces, no brackets, no quotes, no nothing, just the four tildes anywhere in 'wikitext' will work. On existing pages, you can get an idea of where it is appropriate to add your signature by noting what previous contributors have done.
